Instructions for Dash 2.0

1. Unzip the file on your PC and use Active Sync to transfer all the files and subdirectories (except the Instructions subdirectory) to your PPC. The subdirectories should be placed in the Program Files/TodayPlus directory on the PPC.

2. Place the file CPLIcons.dll in the Windows directory on the PPC

3. Open the TodayPlus configuration utility

4. In the first tab under 'select skin' select Dash.txt.

5. In the second tab enter the lat. and long. for your home city.

6. Enter city information and RSS feeds in the third tab.

7. Enter the time and storage paths in the fourth tab. See Figure 1 for the order of the storage paths (for Ipaq 2200).

8. Create three shortcut groups in the fifth tab - Main, Shortcuts, and Control Panel. (Figure 2)

9. In the Main group place shortcuts for the launcher region.

10. In the Shortcuts group place the shortcuts from the TodayPlus\shortcuts subdirectory in the order shown in Figure 3.
(Note - the supplied shortcuts are for the Ipaq 2200. For other machines some of them may not work correctly. If you use a PIM other than the PPC default, replace the supplied calendar and tasks shortcuts with appropriate shortcuts to your PIM calendar and tasks applications. Make sure to keep the order intact.)

11. In the Control Panel group use the batch tab to add all the shortcuts front the three Control Panel subdirectories (Connections, Personal, System). Arrange the shortcuts in the following order: (Figure 4)

	Memory
	Storage Card
	Running Programs
	Power (Ipaq)
	Backlight (Ipaq)
	Clock
	Remove Programs
	Regional Settings
	Restart
	Password
	Buttons
	Input
	Today
	Today Plugins
	Menus
	Ipaq Audio
	Sounds & Notifications-0-Volume
	Sounds & Notifications-1-Notification
	Beam (2003 icon)
	Bluetooth
	Connections
	Network Adapter (2003 icon)

You can add the other shortcuts here but if you do the skin will have to be modified to recognize them
(Again these shortcuts are for the Ipaq 2100 series. For other machines see the readme.txt in the control panel directory for instructions how to create shortcuts for your specific machine.)

12. In the sixth tab chose which PIM application you use - the default PPC application, Pocket Informant, or Agenda Fusion

13. Create filters for calendars and tasks in the seventh tab. This skin has three filters for both. Figure 5 illustrate how I set up my machine. I have the first calendar and task filters set to show all entries. I have the two other calendar filters set for holidays and birthdays. I set two task filters for Personal and Business categories.
(The Personal and Business filters in the calendar section are not used in the skin, I've included them for illustration of how to set up filters different from the ones I use.)

14. Enjoy!
